Introduction
Welcome to SouthWest Riverstone (formerly Riverstone Supplies).
Established in 2001 SouthWest Riverstone is part of a farming enterprise which runs sheep
for meat and wool. We are a totally owned and family run West Australian business situated at
Boyup Brook, in the heart of the South West of Western Australia some 280 km south of Perth.
The business is the only bulk supplier of riverstone of this kind in WA. Here we quarry a unique
glacial deposit of stone which is processed and distributed throughout Western Australia.
Formed around 65 million years ago in the late cretaceous period the deposit consists of smooth
rounded stone varying in size from tiny pebbles to boulders 40 cm in diameter. Colours range from
cream to brown to pastel pink and every mix in between. The stone is used in a variety of applications,
ranging from natural looking dry creek beds, Japanese gardens, water features, gabion baskets,
garden paths, stone wall construction and garden mulch.
The stone was originally hand picked and sold in one tonne bulka bags but now is predominantly
sold bulk. This has enabled the price of the stone to come down which now makes it affordable
to everyone.
